Frequently asked questions

General information

Why was my account moved to Accrue?

Is Accrue the same company as Guideline?

No. Accrue is an unaffiliated entity that is not owned or controlled by Guideline. Accrue has entered into an agreement that will enable it to continue providing services without interruption.

Why is Guideline Investments, LLC no longer providing 3(38) investment management services for my plan? (Only applicable to non-consenting plans)

During the acquisition process, some plan sponsors or trustees did not consent to the assignment of the Investment Management Services Agreement with Guideline Investments, LLC that resulted due to the change in ownership. If this applies to your plan, 3(38) investment management services are no longer available and any associated fees will not be charged. As a result, Guideline Investments cannot provide investment recommendations to plan participants and there is no party actively monitoring or making changes to the plan's investment options.

You will know if this change applies to you because it was specifically detailed in your transition announcement email. Please be assured that your existing funds and asset allocation remain invested according to your chosen strategy. You can still manage your holdings and update portfolio selections at any time through the dashboard. If you have questions related to this non-consent, please contact your employer’s internal 401(k) administrator.
